About Me

My name is Kathryn. I am a mother, a teacher, and a recovering binge eater. The journey to recovery hasn’t been easy. When I was 13, a trusted family member became verbally abusive about my weight. That triggered years of poor self-esteem, depression, and many quests to reach the perfect weight. I tried popular every popular weight loss program and diet imaginable. The end result was being at my highest weight, obsessed with food, and trapped by my cravings.

In October 2017 I had weight loss surgery. It changed everything for me! I’m not saying it was easy, far from it. I had to completely change my eating habits and find a way to deal with my emotions without food. My journey is far from over as I navigate the world and my emotions with my smaller stomach. No matter where you are on your journey, whether weight loss surgery is a part of it or not, I hope you’ll join me.
